This Privacy Policy describes how Furries Philippines ("Furries PH", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information in connection with Furries PH Events ("Platform"). We are committed to complying with Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

1. Data Controller

2. Information We Collect

When you set up your attendee profile, we collect:

• Legal name (first name, middle name, and last name) - used to identify you in event regos;
• Date of birth - used to verify age requirements set by event organizers;
• Contact number (with country code) - used so event organizers can reach you if needed;
• Pronouns (optional) - provided to event organizers at your discretion;
• Address (street, city, state/province, country, ZIP/postal code) - used for identity and rego purposes; and
• Email address - the email you used to create your account, used for account communication and rego confirmation.

We also collect:

• Your rego selections (rego tier, add-ons) for each event you join;
• Login session data (stored locally in your browser's localStorage); and
• Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and diagnostic purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• Rego processing: to process and record your event regos on behalf of the event organizer;
• Identity verification: to confirm your identity when you join, check in to, or manage your regos;
• Event operations: to share your rego details with the relevant event organizer for event management, check-in, and attendee coordination;
• Account management: to maintain your profile and allow you to view and manage your regos; and
• Platform security: to detect and prevent unauthorized access, fraud, or abuse.

4. Sharing Your Information with Event Organizers

When you join an event through the Platform, your rego details - including your name, contact number, date of birth, pronouns (if provided), and address - are shared with the Organizer of that specific event. This sharing is necessary to allow the Organizer to manage their event, verify attendees, and contact you if needed.

Each Organizer is independently responsible for how they handle your data once it is shared with them. Furries PH is not responsible for the data practices of event organizers. We encourage you to review the Organizer's own privacy notices where available.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties or share it with any party other than the Organizers of events you have registered for.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following bases under the Data Privacy Act of 2012:

• Consent: you provide explicit consent when you accept this Privacy Policy during profile setup;
• Contractual necessity: to process your event regos and maintain your account; and
• Legitimate interests: to operate a secure and reliable rego platform for the furry community in the Philippines and worldwide.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion:

• Your profile information will be deleted or anonymized;
• Rego records may be retained for a minimum period for audit and accountability purposes; and
• Data already shared with an event organizer at the time of rego is subject to that organizer's own retention practices.

7. Your Rights Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012

As a data subject, you have the following rights under RA 10173:

• Right to be informed: to know what personal data is collected and how it is used (this document);
• Right to access: to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Right to correction: to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data (you can update your profile at any time);
• Right to erasure or blocking: to request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and operational retention requirements;
• Right to object: to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances;
• Right to data portability: to receive a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format; and
• Right to file a complaint: to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines if you believe your rights have been violated.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) for all communications;
• Row-level security controls on database records;
• Session token authentication;
• Access controls limiting data visibility to authorized parties only; and
• Regular review of access permissions.

In the event of a personal data breach likely to result in a risk to your rights, Furries PH will notify affected users and the National Privacy Commission in accordance with the Data Privacy Act.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

The Platform stores your authentication session token in your browser's localStorage to maintain your login session. No third-party tracking cookies are used. Clearing your browser's local storage will sign you out of the Platform.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a revised effective date. Where changes are material, you may be prompted to review and re-accept. Continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
